Join Keeper James and Sanderling Resort in the "Boat Room" of our historic, Lifesaving Station Restaurant for a 3-course period-style dinner while listening to the history and heroic tales of the U.S. Lifesaving Service (now the U.S. Coast Guard).
Referred to as the "Graveyard of the Atlantic," grand maritime rescues were routine along the Outer Banks in the late 1800s. The historic No. 5 Lifesaving Saving Station (now the Lifesaving Station Restaurant) was home to these heroes, and Keeper James is the perfect steward of their stories.
